The most musical event of the summer in Sotogrande was held on Friday August 11th at the fantastic installations of golf club NH La Reserva’s club house. A multitude of residents and visitors of the most popular urbanization in Andalucia enjoyed the spectacular acts until the wee hours of the morning.

The Spanish band Blueshakers warmed up the night and created an unforgettable atmosphere for the many guests who attended the dinner organized by NH Almenara. At midnight the famous Irish group, The Commitments (remember the Alan Parker movie?), began their show and the cries for an “encore” could be heard at every hole of the golf course. The night ended with Carvin Jones, thought of by many as the new Jimi Hendrix, and making it reminiscent of festivals like Woodstock. This night of Blues will be a part of many conversations and many memories for a long long time.

The 4th edition of the Sotogrande Blues Night, is again organised in close collaboration with “Blues Cazorla”, already for 12 years now the best Blues festival in Spain and this July, as confirmed all over, with the best of all Blues performers in the world together during 3 nights and days.

The 4th Sotogrande Blues Night will be hold at the golf club NH La Reserva, a unique surrounding, provided by NH Hotels to the Cultural Association of Sotogrande to offer Sotogrande residents and visitors an ideal setting for a long evening with the best of all varieties of Blues music. The evening starts at 21.00 hours with Peter Gun and Danny Boy, a duo that will bring back all memories of the best Blues of the 40-50ties.

At 22.45 hours perform The Fabulous Blueshackers, coming from Spain but known internationally thanks to their multiples concerts and fans. They will make for sure new fans in Sotogrande with their particular style in which you will hear a unique mixture of country-blues, soul, R&B and influences from the first Delta sounds.

At midnight Sotogrande will vibrate with The Commitments, heard and seen by more than a billion people all over the world. They sold more than 7 million copies and have given more than a thousand concert since 1993. Their movie ranks as the number 33 of the 100 most seen movies in the world, so what to say else than: do not miss the show!!!!!!!!

The 4th edition of the Sotogrande Blues Night will not calm down at all after the spectacle of The Commitments. Towards 02.00 hours everyone will have to refresh and renew his/her dancing shoes as the guitar of Carvin Jones, will now allow anyone to just sit and watch. His guitar will force to dance, jump or just go wild and the good old days of Jimi Hendrix will be there again as if time has not passed. American, born in the wild Texas, he performed all over the States, but succeeded also in the building up a big European audience, thanks, amongst others, to his performance during several of the Blues Cazorla festivals. Carvin Jones and his band guarantee an unbelievable experience, and Sotogrande is waiting a 4th edition of the Sotogrande Blues Night to dream and talk about the whole summer and long after.
